Bridal expo at the Florence Civic Center

BRAVO! Events is hosting its second annual BRAVO! Bridal Expo at the Florence Civic Center on Jan. 8, 2012, from 2 to 6 p.m. Eastern and Coastal Carolina brides will see the latest trends, fashions, and colors in weddings. In one afternoon, brides can meet and interview multiple wedding professionals in each category of wedding services — bridal gown and wedding dress shops, caterers, entertainers, photographers, venues, florists, and many more. WMBF News on-air personality Marla Branson is scheduled to emcee the event again in 2012.
BRAVO! Events partner Elaine Dean said, “Going into 2012, we see stronger wedding traffic. There were numerous brides in January 2011 shopping for 2012 weddings. Brides know their dream wedding and are planning early to avoid becoming overwhelmed or stressed. 2012 trends focus on bold colors and prints — especially tabletop, up lighting, big lounges and bars, and desserts, sweet treats, and artful cakes.”
At the 2011 expo, 150 brides and 450 attendees participated and vendor booths sold out. Attendees in 2011 wedding dresses were from South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia and especially the coast.
Dean added, “2011 was our first large show and we exceeded all expectations. The Expo has moved to a larger location and we’ve doubled our sponsors for 2012.” 2012 grand prizes will include a cruise, a wedding dress valued at $1,000, and a unique groom’s cake in addition to fantastic gifts from all the vendors. Guys will enjoy the “Man Cave” with sports.
